Demon's Souls/Dark Souls are really beautiful games, so are Skyrim and Uncharted 3. I liked the graphics of Dead Island and Silent Hill Downpour too, great looking games.

I'd pick Dark Souls or Skyrim if you're a dungeon crawling kinda guy.

Waddya get?

Also, so much disappoint with diablo. Unless they just didn't have it in the beta, there's no actual character building; you're just on a set development path. And the UI looks ragged. And GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE WITH ALL THE WOW BULLSHIT.

Anyone play journey yet? Looks prrdy.

In the beta you could change whether you wanted to take whatever preset path they had or pick your own skills and stuff. It was in one of the submenus.

I thought it was fun for the few hours I had with it, but I agree the art style is totally horrid.

what's something beautiful to play? Dark Souls? murreee?

Dark Souls is probably my favorite game of this generation of consoles. It's unique and brilliant(ly difficult lol). Prepare to die, a lot. You'll get frustrated at times, and even want to chuck a controller or two, but that feeling of satisfaction after conquering a boss is incomparable to any other game I've played recently. I have it for PS3 and will be getting it again for PC.

Bioshock: Infinite hasn't come out yet. This year it'll be released. Fun FPS'?

The big franchises are Halo (most recently Reach, though 4 will release in September-November timeframe) and Killzone 3, but the latest and biggest FPS is undoubtedly Battlefield 3 (though it's not really that futuristic/sci fi like Halo). Of course there's Call of Duty but that has been the same game for years now.

Almost forgot Portal 2. Puzzle FPS. Really awesome coop and campaign.

There are more options for third person shooters, though.

yah. i fucking HATE Halo. still played the first three. it's.... not good. it looks nice but... meh.

huge fan of Portal though. my xbox id is GLaDOSlovesMe actually. didna play Killzone or Battlefield, Killy looks neat. did you dig it?

lulz. i play WAY too much CoD when each new iteration comes out. then get burned out and ditch it until the next one.

I enjoyed Battlefield when it worked on my PC...the only problem was there was no main menu and it was launched through a browser, which would consistently crash around launch. It's great on consoles though. Killzone 3 was a lot of fun, but it's not for everybody. There should be some free demos out to try it. Some people don't like the "loose" mechanics, but it just takes some getting used to. The story itself is okay but the gameplay is fun. Definitely recommend Portal 2 if you haven't played it, as well as the Uncharted franchise (PS3 exclusive, third person shooters).

Me and a friend finished Uncharted last weekend...so glad that's over and we can move on to the second one. Supposedly it's a lot better.
The game did pick up near the end, where it got (more) ridiculous.

The Darkness II...still a blast to play like the first one. Jackie is a beast.
The pacing is a bit annoying, every level is followed by prolonged cutscenes or talk to XXX who sends you to YYY and bring them to ZZZ "quests" (and sometimes these are interspersed mid-level).
There are some that call me...morningstaru?
