Favorite Dual Overdrive Pedal / Overdrive with boost?

Post by helgirg »

I am looking for a Dual Overdrive pedal
or an Overdrive with boost for my smaller board.
I have an Analog Man King of Tone witch I love,
but I don't have the patience to wait for two years to get another one.

I have been looking at the CMAT Mods Super Signa Drive
witch I think sounds great and it has top mounted jacks, witch I think is a big advantage.

Dear ILF members,
what is your opinion on Dual Drives / Drives w.boost?
What is your favorite?

BTW this is my first topic on ILF whoohoo!
Amps: Orange AD30HTC+PPC212C, Orange AD15/12, Fender Champ HW

Pedals: Dirt Transmitter, Bit Commander, Organizer,Talons, POG, Twosome, Manx Loaghtan, LP Kalamazoo, King of Tone, Empress Tremolo, Timeline, Hall of Fame.

Haven't tried it, but I'm sure it's great:

Pound for pound, I'd say the Timmy is the best single stomp overdrive there is... so if you want a killer overdrive with a boost, get a Tim.

You cant coax some good low gain drive out the fix'd side of your twosome?
Chankgeez wrote:True, but you can also use the Klon as a tremolo. Just stomp on the switch as fast or slow as you'd like.

I agree. A Tim would be a good choice.
I was also a big fan on my Xotic AC+. The BB+ was pretty good too, but LOOOOVED the AC.

Both are very interesting and sound great.
Total Spack Vibes seems to be a little bit more crazy than The Internet.
To me they both sound more like a fuzz with the volume rolled of.

Throbak Electronics Overdrive Boost.

I've no experience with 'em, but I've wanted one for a long time. You could buy one and tell me how it is.

It's not hot on the I<3F hit list, but the demeter fat overdriveulator is awesome. Silicon or germanium diode clipping from light od to fuzz, and then a boost side too. Seriously, ol man demeter might be low on spin but his stuff is the shit.
