Sleeping in like crazy this weekend has made it super hard to sleep now that I have to be at work by 9 tomorrow.

Get drunk and have an akward game of card based truth or dare with friends. if you play your cards right, LOL, you might just convince them to take shots of midori out of your hairy naval. It will make you feel better about everything. PROMISE.

Turns out I have a viral infection and a crazy fever. GETTING DRUNK IS EXACTLY WHAT I SHOULD DO!

I have a degree in human physiology (and work in the health field) and I can promise that if you're sick, your immune system is already fighting as hard as it can. Heavy drinking is basically just kicking it while it's down, and will at best make your recovery take longer, at worst make you much more sick.

Drinking when you're sick can make you think you feel pretty good, just like it makes you think you're funnier or the best looking person in the room. ;)

Regarding sadness, I've been there; Dealt with chronic depression on and off through my adult life up until my mid-twenties. My only advice is to surround yourself with the things and people that make you happy (or did bring you happiness when you still felt capable of feeling it). Posting on ILF with like-minded musos is a good start. From my short time here I've found everyone to be really welcoming and helpful. Hopefully everyone here also has at least one or two special people they feel okay around, to either talk to or at least have fun with.

And hell I'll even put it out there, if anyone feels like a vent or wants someone to talk to about anything (life, depression, health, fitness, nutrition, exercise, love), please feel free to shoot me a PM anytime. :)

It's all about lowering your immune system to a point where your body is like "fuck i might die if i don't do something i better make me unsick" and it like jump starts and you feel better...(maybe please don't take my advice if you are genuinely sick)

That reminds me of a story my ex told me bout when she was in Germany. She was sick and her host parents said they would make her Jägertee, which she thought was just a name, but was actually just a shit ton of Jäger mixed with a little tea served hot. She said it worked, too.

But yeah. Fuck alcohol.

Brakeups are sucky, there's nothing to really do about it. It's done, you can just go through what happened, find stuff you fucked up, and change them so you don't make the same mistakes in the future. I've had a depressive anxiety attack yesterday evening, about the very same thing. I've met a cool girl but she just panics when we relax and chill and everything is so fun and great and she just stops it and goes into a rampage. Broke me apart yesterday and I got into a really bad state of apathy and emotionlesness.
Also, I was hoping to cheer you up with the flanger remark. Sry

The flanger thing did make me chuckle :) & yeah, it is good to learn from mistakes an such, but I'm dwelling on it for a different reason. Nothing shitty happened between us. To keep it simple, we were together under shitty circumstances (different colleges - distance, etc.) and it was too straining. I still feel for her greatly and based on the last time we saw each other (after we split) she still feels for me, too. So I'm really trying to move on but I can't escape my emotions and thoughts for her. Need more time, I suppose.

& your situation you described seems very confusing and upsetting. It must be really jarring for things to be going so well then erupt into chaos.

You're like twelve, right? Somehow you've put your finger on the general path for most human interaction.

Wise beyond your years, sir.
