Bassboar, James, that suitcase thing was a brilliant idea. Wasn't home when I last responded, and I just found one that may fit the board, a few extras, has wheels/handles and with a bit of foam could be perfect.

I play.

I've made a suitcase into an amp case for a lightweight Gallien Kruger amp that I rocked for a moment. I was actually able to source medium density foam locally from a marine upholstery shop. Helpful hint,....use an electric carving knife to go through that foam like butter.

Here is a thread I did up on TB when I made the thing.

I'm happy with the SVT-CL's clean sound. The preamp drive is fine too. Just enough grit to give me a nice throaty growl. I can make it work.
Just get a Ho attenuator and be done with it. Give him a call and he'll build you what you need.
Good deals done with all these guys

yea beats having to use a DMM and open the amp up. You can bias the amp completely without pulling the chassis out. Lil bit of a pain to wire but not awful

A minimal upcharge to save the headaches of removing the chassis is money well spent. :thumb:

Recently acquired an Ampeg GVT15H to use as a moderate output home amp. I had some 70s era grill cloth left over from my recent V4 overhaul and decided to give this one some retro-stylings as well. Dunwich Nick hooked it up with a replica 70s era Ampeg "baby badge" which looks BADASS, finished fitting and wrapping the baffle today.

Thanks. It's excellent with pedals, no issues! Single channel, puts out a very LOUD 15W via 2x6V6 (pentode) or 7.5W (triode), Ampeg's baxandall EQ plus mids control, good verb voiced somewhere between a Fender spring and massive hall (via Belton unit). Gain and volume controls go from super crystaline cleans to gritty crunch when running hot.

The 5W model looked would be cool but it only has volume, treble, and bass. 15W is perfect with 1/2 power setting and added mids, gain, and reverb conrols. The higher wattage 6L6 models sounded with the gain channel should be avoided haha. If they'd bust out a 50W voiced like this head though, I'd fuckin' try it out with high expectations.

Damn, Schnikey, you always have the bonerest stuff!

Lusting for low wattage lately. But I'll put it off.
(This ampeg, plus the Orange OR15 in a bi-amp setup would probably be bonerama!)

I'm just throwing that out there... I don't think it's in the same category as the OR15 but.. Kustom defender 5H or V15Head- Reviews are all very positive and demos sound delicious to my ears. I am wanting the V15H myself... god I need money.
