Seriously - that just sounded awesome, just as good as it can get with a good, nasty ring mod :thumb:

The swell feature makes a ring mod even more usable in band context, though people usually tend to be squeamish about it and fear for going over the top. :whateva:  Silly buggers.

I rock one of these myself.

Wow that's cool! Wonder if I could rehouse a cheap ring mod into a wah enclosure...

Wouldn't be hard at all! Just replace the footswitch with a 3dpt, and change the FREQ pot to the one that the treadle controls

Yeah. Might look into this, know about any cheapish ringmods? Could just lurk the shit out of BST until one pops up.

Not any really cheap already made ring mod pedals... hmmm. I'll get back to you. You'd think Behringer or Danelectro would have made one by now

Montreal Assembly has a fairly cheap one, last time I checked?

Doesn't it have CV too? That'd be perfect.

woops... didnt watch the second vid. ithink the mold spore is the CA circuit or based on it.

If you want a cheap ring mod and are diy savvy i can give you (or anyone) a free pcb for the CA ring mod i was selling. The difference between it and the original is mostly just that mine can run off just +9V where the original CA design needs +9V and -9V which is less common with guitar effects these days.

email me i can give you a zip with the layouts and such so you can see the complexity. also a caveat is that i missed 1 component so you have to jumper it on the board after. not hard though and i have a picture showing how to.

Also there was no CV on it, I was just using an LDR in place of the frequency pot. You could just replace the frequency pot with the wah pot and... there you go you have whats in the vid.
