btw, do you still do ring stinger clones?
No plans right now for RS clones, or really any clones, but as I am a huge ring modulator fan, it's definitely not inconceivable to think we'll have an original design which can do all kinds of over-the-top ring modulation with unique features and gnarly sounds. The Ring Stinger is an amazing unit, but believe it or not, even with all of its controls, it always felt a little limited to me, since it could never do a clean ring mod sound. It would be pretty interesting to do something that could be as fat and grimy as a diode ring mod, but with the flexibility to get clean and bell-like (plus with the usual IE touch of controls you don't see in other ring mods...).
Ok, i'm sold. Count me in. And CV stuff implementation would be great

Cool! That is a great amp. I even used to use the spring reverb on it with bass (just have to connect a spring tank to the RCA jacks, which IIRC are located behind the tubes on the right). It's not as versatile as a dedicated reverb pedal, or even an outboard spring unit, but it can be a lot of fun, particularly if you have a musical situation that can give the bass a little room to breathe.
Yeah I have a good buddy that is an amp tech and we are going to hang out and go through the amp together soon. I need to track down a spring tank for it. I could definately make use of it in the bedroom at least. It is the house rig, for bass and guitar.

Now that I think about it, I think I still have the spring tank that I used with it. It is a ~10", three-spring tank. Send me an email at info@ironether.com with your address and I will send the tank to you. It's no Nimbus, but... still fun.
My first and only IE pedal so far is the polytope, and I love it. Looking to score an xerograph deluxe next then maybe a nimbus if the moons align. I love the look of the pedals too, etching is badass.

WOW, thanks so much Taylor! That is awesome, you sir, are a gentleman.
Taylor Livingston wrote:The standard Xero just has Frequency, Resonance, and Volume knobs, a 2/4-pole switch and expression jack. So only the Deluxe has the clean blend. You can disable the envelope following completely on the Deluxe, by turning Sensitivity down. So if you wanted to just use it as a static lowpass, or with the expression pedal, you can do that.
This is so blindingly obvious that I'm now really pissed at myself for not realizing this sooner.
