ILF Record Label-- Updated info in OP!

Ok so figured I'd lay out a plan and see what you all thought.

Basically I want to make a blog or free website to use as a home page with links to bands other sites (bandcamp, soundcloud, facebook, etc.). Also the blog would be updated with the happenings of the label and the bands. I think we will officially start by releasing the Noise Comp and then start releasing material for bands and promoting them etc. I know I have a few people already interested in releasing there stuff through it.

Any ideas as far as a free website or blog?

Blogspot and tumblr have always been kind to me?

My band could use some help promoting. I would be glad to donate a song for exclusive use to this. We have a lot handled in-house. I would spread word about the blog. What else can I do?

We could do a blogger, or whatever.

If we wanted to do a real site, I already have hosting. All we would need is a domain. We could use a CMS like Joomla!, Drupal, or Wordpress, so that members of the team could add things to the site in the same way as a blog.

Just a thought. It would be more work, but it would also give us greater flexibility.

Just wanted to update this thread.

The noise comp has not had a lot of entries so it may not be released for a while...

but....

jfrey has been working hard on an awesome website that I think looks great and I'm working to have some releases out in hopefully March

Rest assured we will keeping pressing on with this project in order to showcase the talented musicians of ILF
