The speakers in the Sunn 6x10 don't work. I will probably end up selling both cabs in favor of an Emperor.

It is an EGC. Do you own an Electric?

yes sir I do, a 180-watt power unit. Mainly use it for bass and keys, but it kills for guitar too. here's a pic -

Awesome! I am kicking myself for not getting a a KT88 Volume Unit. Mine has EL-34s in it. I would like just a touch more clean head room.

I have always been curious, how are the Power Units? Is it very flexible tone wise?

yeah, it has as much EQ as a neanderthal like me needs between the bass and boost - I'm not a fine tuner. Besides, that's what pedals are for! :!!!:

Eventually I'd like to get a 120-watt MV unit, but I'm in no hurry. Between the power unit and my V4 - and considering I'm not even playing much heavy shit these days - I'm pretty well set at the moment.

I owned a Ampeg V-2 for a while and loved it. I would like to run a dual amp rig with another amp run really clean as a pedal platform. Do you think the V-4 would fit that bill?

oh hell yeah. V4 will get loud and stay clean a looong time depending on eq/rocker switch settings. ha, lots of V4 love around here!
