I really like the compactotron, xerograph Dlx, and Prometheus Dlx. Prometheus seems like the best for standard wah sounds if needed, but I don't do that often. Wish I had a way to test them.

Now to the question at hand. I want a pedal that I can use as a wah but control it with an expression pedal off the board.

Ideas I've gathered so far:

M5
Cyber Psychic

That's it...

I have a Boss FT2 Dynamic Filter, which is an envelope follower that you can also use with an exp. pedal to make it a wah. You could then use a knob like the Nose pedal as a small way to control it for parked wah sounds without a big expression pedal. You would still have to stomp the pedal on though at some point. Don't know if that helps.

All the ones I was going to suggest have been mentioned.... except one.

The WMD Super Fatman.

Thing is a BEAST and Will Matheson is AWESOME to deal with. He made me a custom Y cable to control both the Fatman and Soundblox Pro Bass distortion.
