Let's see your BASS!

I know that most people here are guitar people, but i'm a bass person. (even though i own more guitars than my singular thunderbird bass)

So what's wrong with this thread? I know there are basses in that thread, but why not have one where I don't have to sift through pages of guitars for the occassional bass. I play bass way more than guitar, and like them both.

Here is me and my main player, a 2004 Warwick Corvette in a nice studio

Used to be a Fender Jaguar Bass, stripped and began refinishing a few days after I found out they were discontinued. They've been reintroduced since, though.
Anyway, I got the inspiration after seeing Thurston Moore's green Jazzmaster.
Dimarzio Model Js + Rickenbacker HB1, roller knobs control your unicorn-to-horses and missile punch-to-rocket punch ratios. The other switch is series/parallel for the HB1.

I don't have the funds right now, but when I do there's a plan...something wicked this way comes...

And I agree....why should I have to wade through a thread of fucking teeny tiny Guitar Hero looking things when I can have this manly motherfucking haven of bliss? It totally deserved its own.

Man.....I got so lucky....I got that thing back in high school. I took lessons from Trip Wamsley....

....he was endorsed by Status (I think that's a Zon in that vid....or Alembic....) and got this for me at a NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE cost....one that I was oddly able to afford back in high school....but if I ever even came close to asking my wife for something like that....I mean....how the Hell does that work out? When you can buy more as a kid. Shit just ain't right.

Trip is a hell of a player. I have seen a ton of his demos. That is a cool story

I had a lot of money in high school too. My Dad owned a business and I worked for him since I was 12. I had pretty nice stuff then. A lot of that gear had tragedy stories, totaled in a car wreck, 5 string Warwick stolen, Columbians took my gear because my roommate owed them on a kilo of coke...the usual stuff.

Wow....that's insane. You have a rock awesome W, now. But that's just crazysauce.

Usually people will bring out some pretty standard "what guitars think are cool (you know....like how them people think Ampeg is the shitsmacksauce)" basses...but so far they've all be cool.

UMMH actually It was Bolivians. It was after High School. A period of time that I could still be in prison for...

Thanks Bro, I love that 'Wick. It plays so smooth and the Preamp and pickups I put in it are rad sounding (ACG/East EQ02 filter based preamp and EMG JX). I seriously have 6 different sounds from this one bass with that preamp, there are more to be had but I use 6. :!!!:

MY METAL BASS! BC Rich Mockingbird, neckthru, a pretty solid sounding bass. It now has a GK3-B pick-up installed in it for use wit my Rolnd GR-55 synth. I am probably going to put piccolo strings on it and run it in guitar mode so it tracks faster and put an octave down on every patch (I can do it in one Master Spot).

Now that is a beast. It's like you can color coordinate it, too. Brown and black. What up.
