Edit: How freaking hard is it to find a 16:10 monitor these days.

Yeah... all the major manufacturers (Dell, HP, Apple, Viewsonic) use the same screens. So if LG makes it 16:9... they're all 16:9.

I think it makes sense, since most people would probably want the screen to match movies and such. But, yeah.

I had to settle on a 21" 16:9 in full HD to have a nice IPS screen that would fit on mah desk. >.> I'd love to get those extra vertical pixels, but nooooooooooo.

But it's really not that big of a deal.

Also, I want to go on a road trip but all my friends suck. Assholes.

Seriously though... do deaf people only wake up at night? What was wrong with subtitles, why do I have a strange man flailing his arms around in the corner of my screen... this film's kinda crappy though, actually if I had some weed he might improve it.

I had to read this post quite a few times to understand it. Then I thought of this.

In other news I lost my wallet with at least $60 along with my license and everything else in it this weekend.

It might just be a U.K. thing but around 3AM if they put a film on there's someone in the bottom right corner of the screen signing for deaf people.

That is odd. Here we just have Closed Captioning, little words that go along with the show. I've always imagined some horribly repressed soul sitting in a dark office somewhere typing along with the show as fast as they can as it airs.

I lost my wallet when I was super schwasted on Friday night. Unfortunately, the first substantial snowfall of the year was the very next day. I walked by the place where I hopped a fence for no apparent reason. In fact, I think the area was closed off and I may have hopped one fence, fallen asleep for an hour or two, then climbed a fence on the other side of the pond, all the while I could have just walked around, or just kept going the way I was which would have been faster.

So I think I had like $60(that night took me to a strip club so it's hard to say what I had left), my license, debit card and other not so important things. Now, my parents are pissed at me and won't let me use the car other than going to work and outpatient day psych treatments, and I'm driving around without a license and I can't bring myself to admit that to my parents.

le sigh. This is not my proudest moment, but at least I'm starting to get over it and move on. Biggest issue is getting wallet stuff back together and regaining parents trust on using the car (I honestly have no intentions on drinking for a while). Biggest annoyance is the car. Sitting around by myself makes me want to drink more than anything, so if I'm stuck at the house everything just sucks. Plus I want to see the gal-pal and spend my free time over winter break with friends.

Once again, le sigh.

Yeah we have closed captioning too, which is why I don't get the guy in the corner, it's only for certain channels too... :idk:
Haha, yeah i've imagined that too, I always want the signing person to just start fucking around too or having an arguement with someone off screen.

Loosing stuff sucks though yeah, hopefully you get your wallet back somehow. I remember the time I lost my keys that suckeddd, couldn't lock the house, use my car but then I found out they'd rolled down the side of my bed two days later.

On another note, cheers suprise gale force wind that just blew a load of papers around... meanna be getting to 80mph in some places today.

Maybe deaf people in Britain are planning some sort of insurrection against the "hearers." What a better place to broadcast secret messages than in plain sight?

"Paypal is putting holds on all payments I receive from ebay sales because "I haven't been selling enough lately." So the hundreds of dollars I'm getting for selling pedals I wont get till the end of January, which I need to pay for recording gear I bought off of ebay. FUCK PAYPAL AND EBAY. They can eat my ass.

LOOK AT THIS FUCKING BULLSHIT

Hakko makes the 888 in four colors schemes. Three of them look classy and awesome. One of them looks like a Fisher-Price toy. GUESS WHICH ONE IS THE ONLY ONE AVAILABLE IN NORTH AMERICA.

Fuck you, Hakko. I would buy the 888 in a heartbeat if I could get it in NOT FUCKING BLUE AND YELLOW. Sigh. First-world problems.

Hah. Even Hakko's high end stuff looks like the blue one. It's ridiculous.

I love bright colors, just not -those- bright colors.

I'd buy a pink one in a heartbeat. Or purple. BRIGHT GREEN. What I'm saying is, they're missing a great opportunity to appeal to weird hacker types.
