Yeah, it's a great solid state driven spring reverb unit. I run direct to the Normal channel of the head, and then put the reverb in a jumper over to the Bass channel with the reverb mix 100% wet. It's a great way to turn those other three knobs into Reverb Mix, Reverb Presence, Reverb Bass.
The pedal you see in the rack is a Boss NS-2 to cut out the very mild hiss of the reverb unit. It's not overly noisy, but if I want washed out surfy sounds, it's nice to have the noise gate in there.
