Just to know what to look for - Boss reverbs

Post by DarkAxel »

So dudes... i'Ve tried RV-3, expected very much, but was actually very disappointed :( sounded too sterile and digital

is RV-5 any better? I love how it sounds in Cog's songs, but haven'T tried one myself...

i'm basically after deep and long reverbs, so i'd probably use Hall and Modulate modes the most... does it sound better than the RV-3?

I dunno about the rv-3 but the rv-5 and its modulated is nice and comparable to my stereo wet. If you can find a regular wet I would recommend that.

thanks for the offer, but being from europe kinda spoils everything :D nevermind

RV-3 really seemed weirdly digital and cold and weird to me :idk: might try that RV-5 just for the modulated mode :)

rv5 is great. plus no volume drop when engaging, like the rv3 does. but seriously; go with the tc electronics hall of fame. i've had the rv3, rv5, strymon bluesky, biyang tri reverb, and the HOF. HOF wins EPICLY.
excellent transactions with: onelouderash, GiAnt_ROboT, Raintes, kbithecrowing, in2thegapagain85, MEC, Grrface, hbombgraphics, pena_55

of course Wet, RRR, BSR are like the trinity of "TOO EXPENSIVE" but totally awesome verbs to me

I was thinking about HOF, why does it excel so much? what applications?
