I don't really want to turn this into another OWS thread. Just a heads up.
But we know nothing about his signing bonuses, his contract, how long he has left on active duty... nothing about his military career except for that which he has chosen to highlight in his note.
So I suppose the best response to the picture is to say "you're welcome."

That's why that picture annoys me. It's not that I think that guy hasn't paid his dues or anything, I respect that what he's doing takes a lot of work. But he makes the assumption that none of the protesters have ever worked for anything, which is probably an unfair generalisation. Plus, there's absolutely no need for him to take that picture just so he can feel superior.

You'll have to forgive dubkitty. His unemployment check hasn't arrived yet and as a result, he's been unable to fill his much needed medical marijuana prescription.

If you're going to be a flash developer learn to fucking design/code with modern conventions. Nothing should be on the stage or in any frames. There should be one actionscript frame. There shouldn't be a million unused library items, and your library should be organized into folders.

Procrastination has kicked into overdrive and I've barely done anything interesting for days, I'm eating very little and what I am eating is crap. Must have a big deadline at the end of the week...
i have a metric shit-ton of stuff to do even though i remain unemployed. i have to do a expenses breakdown for the bank because they're going to do another three-month forebearance on my mortgage loan and all my figures are different now that the ex is gone; i'm going to have to write up my response to the original court order she filed against me because my attorney has fled for an emergency hearing since the incident this weekend where she admits she had representatives come and steal a car we own in common from my property; AND i have to totally clean up my house because my friend Dan has finally gotten his sub-lease sorted out in Miami and could arrive here as early as the 17th, i.e. Saturday, three days from now. he's allergic to cats and so i promised him i'd vacuum, get rid of dust, and such so the place would be as bearable for him as possible when he gets here. PLUS i'm sitting for an interview on Saturday with a guy who's writing a book about the Grateful Dead from the perspective of people who are fans and also practising musicians, about their musical development etc. so the next few days are going to be utterly mad, but a bunch of stuff that's been hanging over my head will have been sorted by the end of it. but it's going to take a lot of typing, scrubbing, vacuuming, driving, and appearing in court before that's all settled. and i could have to do all of it before Monday. if i could afford to lose any, i'd be tearing my hair out.
