So, Infanem used to not have a return policy.

Post by askthedust »

EDIT : ILF LOVE TRIUMPHS SOMEWHERE AROUND PAGE 10 I THINK

I'm a little surprised that even if Infanem has a waiting list and would know what to do with it, he won't take my unopened Faye Sing back.
Even if the reason I want to return it is that I received it a month later than what he had told me before receiving my full payment in advance.
In the past I had already dealt with builders that had a little sense of customer service, like Malekko, Skreddy, Catalinbread, Fromel or others, this is the first time that has happened to me. This very day I read on Malekko's fb page
"if you get it and it doesn't work well with your setup send it on back and i'll give you a full refund!"
I guess this will teach me to be more careful. :picard:

PS : I know he's appreciated here for his talent, this is something I'm not questioning a bit. Just wanted to let you guys know since he sells direct but sales policies are not indicated on his website.

I actually agree somewhat. I've bought things from many pedal builders and have had to return a few. Everyone I've dealt with took them no issue. Not sure of your exact situation, but that is kind of shitty IMO.

Return policies, warranty information, etc., really ought to be included on a builder's webpage. That's discouraging that you're having this kind of trouble if the policies aren't well outlined, and really surprising since I always thought Ken was a pretty cool guy from what I'd heard of him.

Yea, that's kinda shitty if he won't take returns.

I offer service and troubleshooting on pedals with problems. Infanem is simply too small to take returns right now and that's why I primarily sell through dealers who do. Will be updating the website to clarify...

Lol

Devi, I have nothing against you but your overly hostile response probably doesn't help.

I totally see what Ken is saying. No biggie. If he includes it on his site (I think Iron Ether also does not take returns..no big deal), then it's a non issue. Now everyone knows and will make for certain that they want what they are getting or buy from a dealer that takes returns. I know in the past I've bought things and thought "meh" and the dealer or builder was totally cool with returning it. Some people obviously aren't. That's business though.
