I've been digging powerfu female singers a lot lately. Namely:

"Mama" Cass Eliot
Grace Slick
Bjork(SOOOOOOOOOO underrated)
Karen O
Janis Joplin
Betty Davis
Alison Mosshart
Becky Ninkovic(formerly of You Say Party)
Alice Glass

I really can't stand subdued, "chill" vocals especially when it comes to female singers. Male singers I like a lot include:

Freddie Mercury
Thom Yorke
Sebastian Grainger
EDITADD: Tom mother-fucking Jones
BOOM-SHAKALAKALAKA-BOOM-SHAKALAKUNGA

Casey Crescenzo from The Dear Hunter/ex-The Receiving End of Sirens is probably my favorite vocalist.
Singing soft and sweet, gang vocals, soulful belting, screaming, a capella arrangements, he does them all and more so damn well.

Other favorites:
Anthony Green
Trent Reznor
Claudio Sanchez
Aaron Weiss

Not favorites (yet), but notable: Justin Vernon, Chino Moreno, Andy Hull, Keith Buckley, Dave Verellen, Andrew Bird, MC Ride, P.O.S., etc.

Thought it was vocalists instead of singers. Woops.
