Due to bad business in recent months a bunch of people were fired from the restaurant/cafe/bar that I work for booking live music (and recently working as a doorman). Unless business picks up the music program may be cut from the budget.
If you know anyone in or around Boston tell them to go to Kingston Station Cafe in Downtown Crossing. Live music is every Friday and Saturday night from 10pm to 1am.

CAN'T I JUST GET A GOVERNMENT HANDOUT.
You disgust me.
You need to stop asking for a handOUT and go find yourself a handJOB.

My source of bitchiness seems tame in comparison.
I really want a gaming console so I can play Sonic Generations (or a computer that can run it).
I have the money to buy a PS3 (I really want GT5 as well) used but instead I need to be saving so I can put some heating oil in the tank.
So freeze to death while playing Sonic,...or keep warm and entertain myself with other things.
FUCK PRIORITIES.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
I do a fair amount of data entry for my work-study job on campus. Much of this is entering the names, majors, and email addresses of students from the sign-in sheets for things like company information sessions and events and career fairs and such into spreadsheets. Companies do in fact keep copies of these sign-in sheets to gauge continuing interest and sometimes contact people. You would think that students would understand this and write legibly.
But NO. Of course not. Instead, if I want my spreadsheet to be accurate, I have to search the directory with whatever fragments of the names I can actually make out to get the actual names and email addresses. This becomes particularly difficult when half of the people on these sheets have foreign-background names, as it's much harder for me to guess what the fragments of names are when they don't look familiar to me. I don't mean to be culturally insensitive, but I really don't see names like Ayooluwakunmi and Xiaoyan every day, so if you want me to get it right, you're going to have to make a little effort. Or at least just print in all caps like the sheets suggest.
And please, use your official college email address on things related to a career search. It looks so much more professional than the hotmail address you made when you were 12.

One (or possibly more) of my roommates always leaves every light fucking possible on in our dorm. Granted we aren't paying the electric bill directly, but still, it's fucking wasteful.

Dance music is friggin terrible. So sick of that sort of thing being on in clubs and at parties and when we have parties here, it's just ridiculous. There's so much better music that's also great to dance to, and even more great music that isn't, it's just infuriating.
