Hey Mudfuzz, Eric and I just had a 2 day jam with BOTH of our Xeros (plus a shit-ton of fuzz!!!) and I am here to tell you I have NEVER heard an envelope filter go lower and crush harder doing it! For realz...Eric can certainly attest!

This thread has slipped.

How's every feeling about their new IE scores?

FrantaBit is killer, some really awesome and insane sounds within. Definitely one off the better Bit Crushers I've tried but not so sure how it'll sit in a live mix on guitar with a few of the settings I've dialed in. Gonna test that out this weekend.

Oh, the expression control is great, super useful feature with a crazy ass pedal like this

Yeah I like it too... I should get an expression pedal one day.
The mix knob is very usefull.
I'm almost always using the Obliterate mode.

I traded for a FrantaBit the other day; really into it, mostly surprised by how ring mod-like it sounds at many settings. Versatile, not many half-assed sounds on tap. Pretty impressive, if you ask me. Also way less overwhelming interface than that of the Geiger Counter, which was too much for me.

Xerograph Deluxe, still my favorite filter pedal.

I am in absolute love with my Xerograph Deluxe. It's a close second to my 4545, but they get along SOOO WELL. I love them together. It's amazing, how these from different backgrounds end up meshing. The Xerograph is a tone-sculpting tool. I use it for a lot of sub-octave boomboom parties, and with the sensitivity up (optional) and the expression pedal, it's the perfectly perfect dynamic modulation. I don't need chorus or flanger or phaser or anything..I've got it handled with this one :D It's just endless possibilities. Whenever I talk about it, one adjective comes up, with how it plays and sounds: powerful. It's so freakin' POWERFUL. I was eh about filters until behndy lent me his for a bit and I about shit when I got to play with it. It's easily worth the price of one brand new. Hell, he had them on sale for a while. But I'd recommend one to...just about anyone.

And, for anyone that doesn't know....I'm bassist only. But I love me fuzz and freakouts and the Xerograph is an integral part of my sounds and musical shenanigans.

AND AND AND, I sweet-talked Taylor into a custom emeraldy finish. Love that man...he's so fuckin SMART. About pedals, and his products, and a swell dude and businessman. I recommend him to anyone and everyone, over and over and over. And over.

Some settings jumped right out and some, a few of my milder creations, were just totally buried. Didn't have much time to bend down and fuck with it though, pretty limited time at the practice space unfortunately. It'll work out but I'm gonna have to play around a bit...

Same here things are crazy at work... no time to play since I have the FrantaBit.
I'll to do a demo sometimes.

I share Eric's love for this filter. :)
Here's a clip I posted 2 weeks ago using the Xerograph with guitar. No auto-wah sounds.

And this is a simple clip using a synth to demo 4 IE custom beauties.

…that sparkle FrantaBit
