Or you try to play harder than your guitar player because his fuzz getting in your frequencies.

or you have a sharp edge or something on the bridge saddle (or tailpiece if present) that's cutting into the string. examine the bridge saddle and smooth as necessary; 800 grit followed by 1200 is good if there isn't a big honking cut that needs filing.

i guess i got away from capos largely because of the futz factor and the amount of tuning adjustment they always require. they're great for open tunings, though...open G (or open A if you go a step up) with a capo is the secret to Keef, and you can have a week's worth of fun sliding the capo up and down and Stones-ing the nights away. "Jumping Jack Flash," "Brown Sugar," "Happy," "Tumbling Dice," "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'"...have fun :!!!: as a matter of fact, i may have to go get the Tele :yay:

Amp....not loud...enough? That...I don't...just, no.

It may be due to the bridge being sharp, but I think the parts on my bridge that are sharp aren't the ones touching the string. I do cut my hand and arm often due to the bridge. I think I may have to get some sandpaper though. It won't help me from the bodily injury, but maybe it'll save me money.

i think it would be really cool to put leaded glass in the apertures in the Holey Explorer. if they'd done something like that they could have made bank from the goth crowd and/or the praise-and-worship guys. if you're going to go, go all the way.

and for people inclined to smashing their guitars, the effect under stage lighting would be spec-TAC-ular :!!!:

I don't get why I was going to get rid of my Arc Flash, I even walked into the shop I was planning on selling it to, and promptly walked back out and said " I can learn to love this thing" So now it's back on my board, trying to find a home in the chain.

How is it that everything expensive I own is capable of breaking simultaneously?

+1 to this. Couple of years ago my PC, laptop, amp, soundcard interface, main recording mic AND bass electronics all died in the space of about 6 weeks. I think I'm only now back up to where I was equipment wise.

ALSO, I don't quite understand why (or rather "how") every band i've jammed with/ applied to join/ joined and then quit since moving to London have been "on the cusp" of being signed and had "significant label interest".... If it was all true, there'd be 75 new albums released a week in central London alone!! Wish these fuckers would stop deluding themselves and learn to enjoy gigging for gigging's sake! Sorry, maybe this needs to go in the rant thread :)

Why can't I escape fret clank in C standard, no matter what I do.
