Well, the problem seems to be the expression pedal with two outputs ... When only the Elements is connected, the expression pedal works as it's supposed to (no volume change while mix is increased or decreased). If I put another TRS cable into the expression pedal, the original problem I was having comes back. There doesn't even need to be a pedal attached to the new TRS.

So, for whatever reason this is the way it is, I guess I need to get an expression pedal solely for the Elements. As mentioned before, I can use this expression pedal's two outputs with other pedals at the same time and it's fine.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good expression pedal for the Elements? I'm looking to get something small now since I have this wah-sized two-output pedal already.

Hey SM, really sorry for my absentness around here lately, I didn't mean to leave you hanging.

I had some more questions about that Mission pedals of yours... is it powered? Is it putting out a CV voltage? I still don't understand the situation exactly but the mix control for the Elements is really simple. The expression jack is a stereo Neutrik jack with 6 connections (3 horizontal pairs) that touch each other when nothing is plugged in. When you plug in an expression pedal you lift the connections to the potentiometer in the pedal and connect it to the potentiometer of the expression pedal... it's very simple and straight forward, and I still don't really get why it ain't working for you!

I like the Moog expression pedal.. it's pretty cheap, pretty beefy, and works well with all my pedals. There's lots you can use though, pretty much anything with a TRS plug and around 50k of resistance will be fine.

No problems on absenteeism ... the Mission pedal only takes power for the LED, otherwise unpowered.

I can't comment on everything else you wrote, it's all beyond my knowledge base. But I appreciate the details.

Anyway, as mentioned, the Elements for some reason doesn't work when another pedal is hooked up to the Mission. So I am going to get another expression pedal, maybe the Moog, thanks for the tip. Actually I want to get a small one from T1M; my board is getting really cramped. Now that I know the values for the Elements though, I can make sure whatever I get will work.

It's a strange problem, right? I don't understand it either of course. But the main thing is that it works on it's own, so I'm fine with that. I have more than one pedal that I can use an expression pedal for anyway.

So thanks for your help. If anything changes I will be sure to update my experiences in this thread.

And thanks for the Elements! If I could only bring one pedal to a gig it'd be the one, there's no question it covers more (awesome) ground than anything else.

Well I guess the Mission pedal is sharing a potentiometer for its outputs and it bothers the Elements? I'm really curious about it so if you're ever in the Edmonton Alberta area stop on by and let's check it out!

Really glad to hear you're liking the Elements, I appreciate it!
