But everyone was retarded and couldn't put the monkey together correctly and to get there you had to go through through that scary as shit room where you stand in front of the thing and pull down the switches where the temple guards can reach out of the walls and getch'ya!
I think that show was the root of all my anxieties.

Right?
Yet the rest of that show was exquisite.

Lol guys there is a reason these are so cheap, this is fender's new made in china line but I guess well see how affects the quality...the squire CV's are nice so who knows, they might actually build a better guitar than the Mexican factory.

Huh, I figured these would be MIM, but I guess at this price point it's not too surprising... Out of curiosity, where did you see that?

Word. I didn't see anything saying where they were made, but I might have overlooked it. I was hoping it would be MIM
The new Modern Player Series from Fender is a bit like the Classic Player Series's evil twin: instead of looking back to their heritage Fender are looking forward to their future with some of the boldest design revisions since the early 70s. What's more these Fender Modern Player guitars are incredible value for money because they're made in China where production costs are low and that saving can be passed on to you! Fender don't put their name to anything inferior so you can be sure just as we are that these new Chinese Fenders will feature the same high quality you've come to expect from Fender.
I thought it was odd that the Tele was made from pine, when you search for pine body Fenders the Classic Vibe Tele is the first thing that shows up.
Kind of an anti climax finding out they're being made in China but hopefully the quality is decent.

Was there a need to remind me how awesome nick was in the 90s?

Really?
Fuck.
Fucking Nick Arcade was embarrassing, man. Stupid kids couldn't even collect 20 rings in Sonic.

Hmmmmmmm... I actually think I might really like this. Kinda the same idea as my beloved Les Paul Faded Special, with half the knobs (which I don't use anyway)! 24" scale neck too? WEIRD AND AWESOME.
However: That's a shitty place to put the knobs, don't you think? I wonder if I could replace those with some Gibson Speed knobs or Tele knobs.
What do you think it would take to stain the headstock to make it the same color as the body?

i almost like guitar that myself....there is still something i don't like about it.....maybe the strat output jack...
yea, that is an odd place to put the knobs. i'm sure you can replace with tele/speed knobs. you could also take the tone control out and move the volume control there. i think it'd be fairly easy to remove the amber finish on the headstock and stain it walnut...getting it be exact would take a little effort but not a big deal.
strat output jack is such an eyesore I couldn't even bother with one of those. I actually don't even like strats predominantly because of the input jacks.

They were talking about it on Tdpri( telecaster forum)and fender forums.
the more i look at the Jag, the more i like the idea of it with a Vibramate/Bigsby on, or perhaps a Vibrola to really grind in the Firebird resemblance.
