Verily, I beseech thee.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

Cooler demo:

Oh my god I miss mine so much. You have to play it LOUD though. Fucking glorious, I haven't played another pedal that makes you feel it in your chest quite the same way. At lower volumes it's highly mediocre.
imo anyway.

Maybe one day I'll have someone build me one.

It's a remake of the Ibanez Standard Fuzz, and supposedly a very good one - or so I've heard, from everybody. Haven't found one to A/B it, but it sure sounds close.

The original isn't too loud - especially in the company of my Dwarfcraft, Fuzzhugger and Devi pedals :D - so You might suffer from a volume drop when switched off for clean parts. :idk: I usually play mine cranked AND in a loop with boost, so all that sounds to be carefully cloned, too. But the lower settings of the original Ibanez ...might have some extra coolness or it's just my ears...

I like the wood sides, I'm not sure about the simple layout though. I like knobs and buttons and shit...

You too? The typewriter typeface is a little... dull. It's not bad by any criteria, but I always wondered if it was supposed to be a kind of understatement or what? :erm: :idk: Simple, classic /old school... Probably meets the aesthetic values of my godfather, though, and his band mates, if I asked, so perhaps it's the aesthetics gap between the generations?

Yeah man. Like it needs a little jazzin up to make it pop out and make you wanna play it. It seems simple and straightforward, but I want a beast I need to tame instead of plug in and go. The only other wood sided pedals I can think of are moogerfoogers, and those seem like a bitch and a half to figure out.

I hear you. I sometimes equate more bells & whistles with better but don't let the lack of knobs and switches fool you.
The Black Keys and Lightning Bolt do just fine as two piece bands, more members wouldn't necessarily make them better.
This does what it does and does a damn good job of it.

Does the Tone switch stay engaged once it is on, if you bypass the pedal? Or do you have to hit it every time you engage the effect?
Good deals on ILF: too many to list, just ask!

Once you hit the tone switch it stays on. Even when effect is bypassed.

Gawwwwd this sounds good. And I think it looks kinda cool, deliberately minimal sort of. Plus cool box with wood sides.
