i feel really atypical in fact...i play through a 30 watt Laney, i don't have or really aspire to a huge stack though i wouldn't be opposed to three or four Marshall 18-watts lined up or a couple of daisy-chained 50-watt Marshall or Bassman heads, and am more on the acid-rock/Slowdive tip than the BIG HEAVY DOOMZ thing many folks here seem to dig and/or play. i mostly play two Tokais, a Les Paul Standard and a Les Paul Special, with occasional forays on a Gretsch Pro Jet i gutted and rewired with Dynasonics and a Bigsby. the only offset i own is a controversial Jazz Bass LOL.

You guys can disagree all you want, but do you have to go on for pages and pages and start shit for no reason?
If you want to disagree, I don't care, and I'm not sure many other do.
Don't you guys have anything better to do?

Guilty as charged, lol. Although, I also play a Schecter. Nice and balanced.
Bad: Totally hung out with a cute girl alone for the first time in forever and didn't make a move and don't think she's interested in that way(she "doesn't get along with Capricorns" and "Doesn't date people anymore").

Hit the snooze several times this morning, thinking I don't even know why I set my alarm, it's Saturday.
About 5 minutes before I am supposed to leave for work I realize, "Holy Crap, it's Friday"
So here I am at my desk, this sucks.

I hear that. Sitting in my cubicle. Feel like shit. Need so much more sleep - which is pretty much impossible while I hold a day job. I'm 99% positive I have this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_sl ... e_syndrome
I can probably count on my fingers the number of times I have gotten to sleep before 2am in my life.

You may. If you find that you can't use exhaustion to reset your sleep cycle then you probably do. The average person can just stay up for a day and then go to sleep at their desired time and that resets their bodies sleep rhythms. People with dsps can't do that - their bodies sleep rhythm is permanent. There is some kind of light treatment available I believe but from what I understand it is not very effective, and it involves staying in a clinic for weeks - which is a no go if you have a job.
I need a job that starts later in the day. During the week I never get more than 4 and a half hours of sleep in a night max. Sometimes only 2.
On the upside, I got down like 1/3 of this solo last night (this is someone else playing it):

Being up half the night has it's benefits. Unfortunately feeling good in the mornings is not one of them. Sometimes it is legitimately painful - like bodily pain, not just difficult - to get up and go in to work.

hey have you two tried melatonin? take a little when you want to go to sleep. usually one dose is enough to 'reset' my sleep cycle and schedule.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
I hear ya, I honestly sleep better when I am visiting our facility in China.
But I have also heard to good things about those alarm clocks that use natural light to wake you up.
Generally I stay up till about 2-3 am and have a terrible time waking up, and it doesn't matter when I got up or how tired I am.
I did get my tele repainted this week in the hours between 1am and 3am so that is good.
Are you a sleep walker as well?
Just curious because I rarely meet people who sleep as poorly as I do.
