Just don't buy a Crybaby with all the bells and whistles like extra knobs like the Q - cheap and useless..... the pots have all crapped out on mine and it needs some serious maintenance, and there's already a guy on local CL who's selling one with the same issue for 20 bucks......

A Colorsound fuzz wah maybe? Or that wah devnulljp mentioned earlier, the Thomas Organ one? I'm not a big Dream Theatre fan, so I don't know the sound you'r talking about, per se, but the Thomas Organ was mentioned as being affordable.
I play.

Also look at the Wilson Tunable Colorful Wah.

Don't look at that guy face... that's crazy.

I've only tried it after a musket, an IC muff and a tone machine, sounded great with all of them.

Wilson wahs are the shit! I had a Tunable Zen wah a while back and sold it to fund a 12 position vintage spec Rippah Booster Wah. The thing is so damn vesitle, i dont see myself ever buying another wah.

Here is a great demo of it.

I've got a BBE Ben wah, it's fantastic. Nice wide sweep but doesn't get too trebly. Solid as hell, and they're fairly cheap.

Thumbs up from me. :thumb: See?
