Well I got this deal on a mustang body you see... and I wouldn't have to re-drill a vintage neck and stuff...
edit..
It's a MIJ reissue one, in off white... I'm asking for a quote on a PG in this color
routed for a filtertron.

Main reason is the Hi flyer bod is really too light and neck dive would be horrid with the music master neck and tuners.. I really wanted that to work but balance was not on my side with that combo

Yeah it's good to do "something" with that damn neck... it's a beatle bass neck so the string spacing is like a guitar
I had to make up two 3/16" thick shims cut to the profile of the edge shape to get it to fit... Thing it it is a GOOD neck: five piece maple and a beautiful rosewood FB, it was NOS too so it was never used.

They never got back to me and after reading stuff about them I glad they didn't... so no orange
BUT I've been in contact with Tony over at pickguardian.com and he has been really nice and helpful. I am going to go with a silver-plexi one from them
I just have to wait for the body to get here to get a measurement. I was going to get the PG for my ric project from them anyway so I'll get both at the same time
