Would one of you fine gents mod it and add a fuzz friendly buffer to it for me?

What exactly does the wah do that doesn't work with fuzz?
It's going before the fuzz, right? Because if it's after... I guess I don't quite get how they'd interact all that much. But I could just be missing something.

A Fuzz Face and a wah don't play nice with out a buffer, cause the ins and outs are just all the wrong impedance. But as soon as you add a buffer to a Fuzz Face it gets brighter. Which is why you put the buffer in the wah and run it after the Fuzz Face. Or get a Muff style fuzz.

yeah the first transistor in the muff is a buffer. same thing with the fuzz factory.

Yup that's how it works. In my fuzz the first stage has a high enough impedance that it doesn't need a buffer. But I have a secondary bypass system that you can switch in that is buffered.

So any old wah would work before a muff type fuzz?

Pretty much yes. The Big Muff has a higher input impedance than the Fuzz Face. But a good Fuzz Face will do octave down the Muff does not.

The interaction of the two transistors in a fuzz face can can result in frequency division during the attack or decay of your guitar signal. The muff does not have and equivalent circuit in which to create that effect.
