Ahhhhh, I read about those before in some fender book but never seen one and heard no1 liked them so they're rare cause people would trash em. Very cool.

My beloved Hondo got something new :joy:

Image
The cover was pilfered from an Epi EB-0, but the wussbucker from that is still sitting forlorn in a drawer. I used a deliciously 31k mudbucker. It has a twin, but I first need another pickup cover and a way to fill up the huge swimming pool I chiseled out (and covered up courtesy of Sheep On Drugs) previously.

Ideally I'd like to have it set up to where either the P or both mudbuckers can be selected, but right now it's just two volumes to the jack.
(the pencil marks are from me primitively eyeballing the placement :idk: )

It's an American Standard Telecaster in a quite odd color, Crimson red. Will probably become quite an unusual sight in about 10 years.

And yeah, my room was a mess on that picture.

Still beautiful, nonetheless!

I know I posted a few pics of this before, but some of the nicest parts of this guitar are the details:

never seen a recessed pickup-selector like that....methinks it's the little details in this guitar that are the coolest (not to mention the wacky finish :P)

Well I've never had a Les Paul so I wouldn't know anything about that, would I? :p

Looks great, is the electrical tape covering a pickup or just a hole? Either way it's a sweet looking tele with the stripped pickup selector and volume knob.

The best configuration! I built a p-bass to be this way once. And, modded my Grabber to be this way too!
