Pretty fascinating--thanks for posting. And I'm not even really much of a fan--no judgment implied, just have had my attention elsewhere.

I love how casual he is in handling these things--there are people who would pay ungodly amounts for some of that stuff--even just different iterations of the same pedal (as opposed to the actual Corgtan-buffed holy icons), and he's just casually tossin' them in the cart. I see a similar nonchalance in other videos where the big stars are coaxed to chat about their gear. It's kind've refreshing to see, actually. Reminds you that these are just tools--you grab one, see if it does what you want, and if it doesn't, hold out your hand for a different spanner. Or if you're a schlub like me, hoof it over to the toolbox and grab another. And if that doesn't work, you force it. Then it's broken and still worth a fortune if this is the Billy Corgan Garage.... I think that attitude probably is at least partially behind the Devi crack--he's got the originals that he used (along with the gits'n'amps and studio gear let's not forget) to make the toanz that inspired Devi, and it must seem a little surreal to have all that packaged up in a single box and handed back to ya.

Anyway--the way he handles those FX reminds me of how many of the most successful musicians treat their axes--and that's how these things get all dinged up and inspire the "relic"ing bizness....

I don't actually know much about BC--I've heard he can be a control freak--the size of his tool box would tend to correlate with that--but I think it's really easy to take stuff the wrong way when you're up against somebody motorvating in the grip of his/her passion.
