I'm getting bored with my Peavey combo so I'm thinking about picking up a new amp.
I want something with nice cleans that takes pedals well. I want to get the head alone and pick up a cab locally. I don't need high wattage.
I like the Tweaker because it's so controllable. I like the Jet City Verellen because it sounds interesting in the description. I'm not likely to be able to play either before buying.
They're similar in cost and both reviewed well, though there's less out there on the Verellen modded Jet City. I can probably pick up a Tweaker for $300 used but would have to drop $500 on the Jet City.
How do I decide?

Verellen, bro. It's got headroom for days, and looks rad as fuck. A good clean canvas for your sonic palate, so to speak. The tweaker, though neat in theory with the UK/USA/VOX switches, never really sounded different on any position, and just kinda sounded like...distortion. Just plain Jane distorted tones to me.

Ibanez tsa: good clean sounds and very honest by its sound representation. Loves pedals

After further exploration, I've decided I don't want an EL84 amp. So Jet City's off the table. Can anyone recommend anything else comparable with 6L6 tubes?

The tweaker sounds great clean and as far as I'm concerned the different switches are just different eq settings.

I love my Traynor Dark Horse. the raw mode (bypassing the eq knobs) sounds fantastic.

In my experience, egnater amps were all noisy as hell.
Maybe I tried a bad batch of them, but I definitely wasn't impressed..
