That really is the worst critique ever - something that unimaginative hacks who view themselves as "consummate professionals" like to say all the time. You could say the same thing about the vast majority of my favorite bands, and about any band that draws from punk and post-punk influences.

Exactly my view. I think being "professional" is just a way of people trying to put themselves above others.
