If you do go to Mammoth make sure you look for cheaper shipping options on their checkout. UPS can wind up being more expensive than USPS priority. They do offer that option but not by default.

Re: The Amazing Beavis Board
The two short breadboards are there so you can create two projects at once and still match the wiring diagrams for the projects.
Sounds like everything you ordered is good. May want to go with a 1/2 watt resistor on the voltage pot, but in a pinch 1/4 watt will do.
Good luck and have fun!

Haha. Protip for the future: Pedal Parts Plus and Digikey will ship first class mail, which is only a couple of bucks. You can only do it on small orders (so no enclosures or anything), but it's really helpful.

You could always wire a battery clip directly to it in the meantime?..and if you don't have one, they can be made out of old batteries (thought it's a bit of work for a $0.10 piece)

I'm about to put this together too. Why are there two terminal strips, one on the side of the enclosure and the other facing up?

The one on the box is to attach the breadboard to the breakout box. The ectra one facing up is for any ectra connections you might want to make...pots, switches, a speaker maybe...

I made one then didn't use it for months
Eventually I may, revamp this one, and add a cover to it so I can store it away, with circuits still built on it.

Re: The Amazing Beavis Board
Still a work in progress but here is a mock up.

I drilled the enclosure myself (first timer on that). I still gotta do four more holes to mount the Terminal Strip and the 6 (or perhaps just one bigger hole) holes to run the wire from the terminals.
Blarp. Building this thing is a learning experience in and of itself. SO MUCH FUN,...I feel like a little kid with a new Lego set.
