...i can haz instant lo-fi...
...okay its not the highly anticipated zvex pedal but at least something as cool and uncommon...
The Hexe Melusine has a filter control to brighten the signal (hi pass), a crackle control to adjust the volume of the vinyl style cracking, a noise knob to mix in white noise and a neat vibe/shimmer...
starting at 01:09 is one of my favorite parts, this thinning out and going full brutal stuff ala ibanez lo-fi is pretty neat with a vinyl vibe...I will definitely use it an upcoming song!
one clip, lots of knob tweaking!

that sounds pretty cool. How much do those run? I remember it being pricey but can't find anything on the website.

I emailed the guy about it. I'll post when I hear back from him about ordering and pricing.

That's awesome!
I get my instant lofi with my El Cap by setting it for the fastest delay time possible, turning the repeats knob all the way down, mix all the way up and then adjust the tape age and all that stuff to taste.. Sounds pretty sweet but I wish I could get it to instantly saturate the way it does with a loop that's been running for a while.
Have you tried that Kayzer?

That is completely, and in all other ways, awesome, but I am waiting for Vizzini Smallsound/Bigsound.

By the way this might be my favorite demo of yours that I've seen. So good!

Sorry Kayzer--back to you. Really do love this demo--made a dismal day brighter (as always your playing and settings/choices with these pedals are character-ful and impeccable).

nope i havent tried that but it sounds like a pretty neat idea, when it works out i will cover that with a tiny El Cap Lo-Fi Demo ;-)
so far the lo-fi looping / sound on sound on the el capistan is already pretty effin sick!

HEXE pedal prices in 2010:
BitCrusherIII: 199.00 EUR (272 USD)
Fire StarterIII: 250.00 EUR (342 USD)
Roboduck, 250.00 EUR (342 USD)
Melusine: 225.00 EUR (308 USD)
Drive Masala: 215.00 EUR (294 USD)
RadarPhase: 299.00 EUR (410 USD)
While the EU prices may seem high at first, they really are not that much higher than a pedal imported from US to EU.
You can pretty much add a third to the price nowadays when ordering overseas.
Here's an old thread about HEXE.
