What's it worth to you? :poke:

You want both sides footswitchable?

Would you care if the circuit were reworked to run off of one dual op amp instead of two singles?

I could just bang out a new PCB with both circuits on one board.

Have you actually tried two Dist+ pedals in series?

I'm just asking because maybe what you want is a Dist+ with switchable boost?

Well I love Superdrag's thick heavy nasty guitar sound and it is a result of like three of those pedals together. hahahaha

Superdrag! Yes!!! I support this operation.

Instead of 2 Dist+, you should do one side Dist+ and the other side DOD250. Almost identical circuits, but it would be cool to have a little variety with the asymmetrical clipping of the 250. You could still rock the dual opamp. Maybe put a tone filter at the end of it. I found the D+ can get a smidge bright for my tastes with the gain cranked. But then again I play tele's and I refuse to turn down my tone knobs on my guitars.

This does sound like a neat project. I will be following the progress. :animal:

on the early Husker Du records Bob Mould used to line up four or five D+ and run through them straight into the board. now, i'll grant you, this didn't do his tone on New Day Rising a lot of favors, but i'm just saying.

I could rig up a quad op amp and have 4 of them in series. I suspect it would sound like shit, but I also think most Devi Ever pedals sound like shit, so what do I know?

I think four stomp switches would be stupid. But one stomp switch as a master bypass plus four toggle switches to turn on/off the individual circuits would be doable in a smallish in enclosure.

I also think for the last one in the chain, you might want to consider going with silicon diodes instead of germanium, just for the extra volume it would provide.

Good question. I don't normally do stuff for spec. Let me spitball some numbers "out loud".

The PCB is going to run about $30-ish (I have to order three for a prototype). I don't want to build this on perf. If I'm going to do it, I'm going to make it bad-ass.

The hardware (enclosure, jacks, switches, pots, etc) would be around $50 - $60.

On-board components, wire, solder, etc, would be like $3.

Not sure about labor. That's a lot of damn drilling and wiring, especially if you want LED indicators for each Dist+ circuit. Finishing is another big cost area. Could be cheap, could be mad 'spensive depending on how picky you are. The best thing to do, most likely, would be to order a powder-coated box in a color you like and go from there.

I could probably do the whole thing for around $175 - $200. It'll take a while, though. Gotta do a lot of planning and design, and then some waiting for stuff to arrive, and then a lot of testing.
