I want to learn how to program drums
any suggestions for programs, tutorials, tips, etc? any help would be appreciated. im not looking to make extremely complex beats, just somthing to go along with some electronica. thanks <3

i'd suggest a loop program (i use acid). drum machines take an enormous amount of time. just experiment, use the paint brush, stack loops, etc. it's pretty intuitive. i think you would need a tutorial for using the program, not for composing beats. your ears are the best teacher for that.

Something good to do is download guitar pro tabs from ultimate-guitar and then look at the drum tracks. Just helps with understanding the patterns and articulations.
