^ In a related story:

I killed a HUGE centipede at work today. Like HUGE. Must have been about 5 or 6 years old. Stepped on it and it popped like a grape. Just keeping the girls at work safe...

why kill bugs? especially spiders and centipedes. they pretty much are bosses and kill everything that's annoying. i'm pretttyyy sure centipedes even take out roaches.

Agreed. I would have kicked both of you in the face because:

A) I'm a sociopath.
B) Bugs is badass.
C) I am badass and aint afraid to kick a fool.

I used to get bit at night by house centipedes in my apartment. They'd come out of the moulding and other woodwork when I turned off the light. The small ones were about 3", they were frequently larger. The bites would swell up like a spider bite and itch for weeks. Several times while watching a movie in the livingroom of that apartment, I had a house centipede run across my neck/face. When your building is infested with them, there are enough that you hate them and start researching things like the fact that the ammonia in Windex will kill them. It seems to melt their insides and leaves a quivering exoskeleton. Or maybe they're drowning, I don't know. So despite being a pacifist vegetarian, you find yourself with Rambo warpaint in your apartment at 2AM With a bottle of windex, screaming at the little bastards and carpetbombing their homes with deadly poison.

I mean, I just heard that's what people do.

(Side note for Starcastic: That apartment building was in Shorewood. Places on the Eastside are notorious for alternately having centipede or bedbug infestations. Or both at one time.)

SEE GUYS? That centipede I stepped on was probably just coming back from a long night of biting people. It must have been tired from all the face chewing because it was in a slow death crawl. Probably had something to do with it being like 99 years old in centipede years too. It was on its last legs.

I am extremely allergic to mosquitoes, so daddy long legs are cool with me.

I'm cool with bugs when they are outside. But once they step into my domain it all ends for them. Last there was a centipede in my basement so I put a container over it (it was to big to squish) and let it starve to death, it was dead the next day when I came down to look at it.

I really want to see this. It sounds so fucking epic. Like the Stegosaurus vs. T-Rex battle from Fantasia kind of epic.

when i find non-biting spiders and bugs in the house--which is a pretty common thing because i live in a "semi-rural" area--i pick them up with a paper towel and take them outside. if they're bitey, though, it ends right there.
