Based on the description and control naming, it's a Muff with a Baxandall/James tone stack. Kinda like this:

Or this:

I've got nothing against C'Bread. Mostly they've had positive interactions with us over at the evil dirty pirate forum. They seem to embrace DIY rather than pretend they didn't get started that way. ;)

True dat. Every brand has their fanboys, and that's who the "buy this now, it's awesome!" marketing is intended to reach. Can't blame them for going for the low-hanging fruit. :)

And it's not like their pedals are crazy-expensive, and you don't have to wait in line for months to get one.

Not really I was asking about doing a apprenticeship there and they offered me a job instead...
(But I was only going to be there for a while so I couldn't really take it.)

Wonder if I could get an internship with them in a year or two...

That would be swell

Ahoy folks. I am Nicholas. Folks seem to have less info than they need to to form an opinion of myself or my company. To clarify the so called flameout...

I never accused anybody of copying us. As a matter of fact I came in here last time just to counter the accusation that my company's "fanbois" accuse somebody of copying us. Fact is we don't have minions or put anybody up to saying stuff like this. There was more to it beyond this that seems to be forgotten. It isn't all that cool for another company to use "catalinbread" as a search term at Amazon.com or Google... I mean I guess folks can do that but what does that gain for them really? As far as I am concerned it is water under the bridge.

And I didn't flame out. I was IP banned. For what reason I never could figure out. But I guess that too is water under the bridge since I am here and have always thought I <3 Fuzz is a cool community.

Ad hominems like "dick" or "tinfoil" or "prick". C'mon folks we all can do better than this! Anybody who wants to know the sort of person that I am or the sort of company I run are free to email me! nicholas@catalinbread.com or give me a call 503-407-5712. Knowing for a fact sure beats assumption and projection of character which is far to easy to do on the internets... I've done it too in the past and try to not do it.

The IP ban was lame...though that was under devi's reign wasn't it?

I meant my tinfoil comment half jokingly, everyone here knows I'm practically a cbread shill :p

I dunno whos doing it was... I do seem to remember reading the thread after the IP ban (behind a proxy) to find that some of my posts were conveniently pruned and edited. It is silly and water under the bridge as far as I am concerned.

Well cbread shill or not. Maybe I can contribute something to I <3 Fuzz moving forward!?

Demos are coming. We are actually in the midst of developing 5 other pedals... The Manx comes at the heels of the Perseus... We still have Perseus videos to finish... But I will be honest, we're tired. We're taking a short break from all of the media production in order to re-calibrate so we don't burn out our ears and lose our minds.
