wich fuzz for me?
Hello! i'm new here. i'm sorry if my english is not very good, but here it goes:
the time has come...
i play guitar and i'm a fuzz fan for a long time. but i don't own any, yet. all i have is a proco rat wich is not really a fuzz.
i'm planning on buying a fuzz pedal but there are tons of them, and where i'm from i can't really try them. i want a really badass one.to play lot's with wha wah and to bring chaos, with the oscilators things and stuff...think like the japanese bands, mainliner and high rise you know?
i guess i want a "weird one", hard to tame but that can also deliever a sound for more controled solos. i've played with the big muff and fuzz factory, but i wanted something different.
i also love when they have that "breaking" sound you now? like as if your speaker can't handle it. but not all the time...
i'm getting a bit specific too much...
the ones that really got my attention was:
truly beautiful disaster
supersonic fuzz gun
what you think about these? do you think it's what i'm looking for? are they worth the price?
thank you for your opinion!

I think you're on the right track with those pedals...also check out the fuzzhugger absynth which has footswitchable oscillation or the smallsound/bigsound year 4545

Re: wich fuzz for me?
The Supersonic Fuzz Gun and AB Synth are both really cool. I found I'd get better standard fuzz tones with the Fuzz Gun, but the oscillation of the AB Synth is way weirder and tweakable, makes for some really useable insanity. AB Synth is also really interactive with your guitar volume and tone, lot of variety. As for standard fuzz though, don't really use my AB Synth for that.
The Arc Flash Oscillator looks really cool too, might check that one out. Think it does distortion and fuzz tones...and I'm alway hearing how great the Year 4545 is, need to look into that myself.
Lastly, the Fuzz Gun is wildly overpriced!

I'm going to have to chime for the ABsynth as well. One of my all time favorite fuzz boxes.
The TBD and Fuzz Gun both seem like they'd work for you as well, though the FuzzGun is too much $, as HS mentioned.

Re: wich fuzz for me?
I second (or third) the AB-Synth. It is very controllable in regular mode and crazy in oscillation mode, and the oscillation is controllable by your guitar. I've found the AB-Synth (and moreso, the Algal Bloom) have a lot of low end and volume on tap, too, if you need that. Seriously, the Algal Bloom on bass must be killer, because I can rattle the windows with bass notes on a guitar amp set quiet..

Re: wich fuzz for me?
woah! i wasn't expecting so many and fast replies thank you!
that absynth is cool and the oscillation sounds nice! definitely to keep in mind.thanks!
thanks, i'm going to check those too! but the fuzz from ab synth is just weird and you can't use it for a standard sound or his standard sound settings are just weak for a fuzz? because i'm definitely not going for the standard sound, just a different kind.gritty and in you face, kinda hard to listen after 10 mins of it ahah but not just complete random chaos. can you get that breaking saturated sound from it? as if the speaker is about to blow up?
yeah the fuzz gun is really expensive... that's something that's been making me stay away from it until now.
soon...
do you like them too?
YEAH! that buzz bomb! that's the stuff thanks!! i like how it sounds from the videos. do you have one? i'm gonna try to find some more information about it!

Re: wich fuzz for me?
If you can find one the Zoom Ultra Fuzz is great for crazy sounds, it has really controllable oscillation (or uncontrollable if you want) that can be changed with the volume knob. It does a nice range of sounds: low gain, vintage-y fuzz, big muff, velcro, explosions, weird arpeggiation...

Re: wich fuzz for me?
Similar to a TBD in features, but a different sound and $75 cheaper.
Although the ones currently available from Dwarfcraft don't have the photo eye.
