i have a carvin fatboy and a x-100b series iv half stack. nice stuff.
carvin gets shit on by me becasue their customer service that i had to deal with on the problems with both the guitar and the amp was either bad or horrible!
Yea. I think that's why I like Carvin so much, I never dealt with their customer service. LOL!
"abandon all hope ye who crush that button..."
Jrmy: Exactly - "the fuzz is strong with that one."

My main bass is a carvin, and I think it looks tits.
is it newer or one of the older ones. i've got a carvin hollow body from the 80s with a shit ton of knobs and whistles that is pretty damn BEAUTIFUL. i just think they're newer thinline copy, stupid color, super glossy finish, no pick guard, super strat stuff looks like dogshit

IMHO
It's about 10 years old, an LB-75 if I remember correctly, 5 string, thru-body neck, blueburst, no pickguard, active electronics. You'd probably hate it
i will play the carvin fatboy when i get home through my x-100b!
my friend has a tounge oiled 6 string bass with the koa top. it does not cover the neck. i do not know what body wood it is but it is mahogony or alder. it is beautiful and plays incredible. we were still in high school when he got it so it was 93 or 94....

I walked into my local Trade Up Music (used gear place) and there it was. Had a little sign on it that said "tower of power".
Apparently the cab had been in the shop forever and no one wanted to touch it because it was a 2 ohm cab, then the Peavey came in and was a perfect match.
Price for both : $350...
... and one of my pedals happened to sell that day (thanks to whoever bought the Rocket), so I tried out the "Tower of Power" loved it, and took it home.
that is a BEAUTIFUL story. thank you for being kind ENOUGH to take time out of yr. busy schedule to GENEROUSLY share it w/ us. thank you.

Now you've got my peavey boner going. There's a VTM60 for $300 DELIVERED on ebay. That was my first amp, and resposible for a lot of the tonez on the first Ronald Raygun album.

Yep. I was in a two-bass band for awhile, and it was pretty neat that my not-so-cheap Schroeder + Thunderfunk rig could barely keep up with the other dude's Mark X?? and 1516 cab.
Well, okay. Technically speaking I could crank that sumbitch and blow everyone in the band away, but I didn't, and HOLY BALLS the Peavey rig sounded amazing. They also make great basses. And people think they suck, because of the name. Because they suck. The people that is.
Used Peavey =
looks like i'm the only other person on this board with a thunderfunk amp? internet high five! sweet avatar by the way my man, i love phantasm. we'll drink to good taste!
