Bass VI pickups..

Post by Mudfuzz »

So thoughts and stuff..

I found this dude http://curtisnovak.com/pickups/bassvi.shtml
And shit looks fly but the project I am working on to me isn't worth it because it is...

A. 24 frets so you will never get that Bass VI neck pickup sound anyway.
B. The body is a V and basswood...
C. I want this to stay under $300 if I can...

I have thought to just going lipstick [I have one already] but I already have a dano baritone..
I am giving thought to Jag pickups though..

Ideas?

Neck was about $100, boday about $50, and I need a bridge still.. and a pickguard [I do NOT want to make one].

I'm not saying I can't put more into this but I like to work out a budget on these things and get close to it... it's fun...
