Scaling back this Christmas, but still had to ask for some pedals:

Devi Ever US
DE Cherry Pop
Mellowtone Wolf Computer
Dwarfcraft Shiva

I also asked for a Bit Mangler, but I doubt I'll get it this year...

Alas, but no Christmas here :( Maybe that's the reason I watched "The Nightmare Before Christmas" so passionately and listen to "Jack's Lament" or "What's This" every now and then... :whateva:

Mostly Books. There's a new Cobain book "Cobain Unseen" or something. a Bright Pink book about The Clash. A new John Lennon book. And Chuck Klosterman IV.

but so far I've received a Peavey Valve King Royal 8 for college. It was super cheap at $125. :thumb: I've gotten a nice variety of sound from it despite the 3 knob limitation.

But if I were to ask for any more gear it'd be a Team Awesome Fuzz Machine or a Devi Ever US.

Santa (aka Wifey) is gonna style me with this electronics tool set:
http://tinyurl.com/ladyadatoolbox

I'm making the leap into learning how to solder. (It's all your fault. All of you. )
This will probably lead to a BYOC kit or two, and/or some other electronic noisemaking DIY kits I've been eyeing.

Adafruit, the company that sells the toolbox also sells a kit for a TB-303 clone. I have one (didn't build it myself)....and it's fucking DOPE.

I love me some Chuck Klosterman - even when I disagree with him, I'm entertained by his writing. Did you know he has a novel out now? Downtown Owl - that's one of the books on my list... http://www.amazon.com/Downtown-Owl-Novel-Chuck-Klosterman/dp/1416544186

mm I miss my addiction to buying books...pedals have sorta replaced it (and my wallet is pretty thin because of it)

Was really into david foster wallace and then he went and offed himself...really creeped me out and I haven't touched a book since then.

Hmmm...May I ask for an old jazzmaster or jaguar?

Didn't think so...I would buy it myself but there aren't many around where I live.Maybe like 12 in the whole country :mope:

i want a jazzmaster too,
or maybe a blue or white jaguar...

too bad they're too expensive and virtually unaffordable for a college kid like me...

i can't even ask myself for a pedal lol, still too expensive for even that, but
i want a:
spectacular aenima
visual sound jekyll and hyde
eh holy grail
boss dd7

lol

Yeah Chuck Klosterman kicks soo much ass! My favourite is probably Killing Yourself To Live. IV is really sweet too though; the best is the short story at the end when he imagines himself becoming a rich coke addict and calling up models at 3 AM and having horrible sex with them and then crouching into a corner and telling his friends: "Darkness. There is only darkness here."
hahahahaha, faaaaantastic.

My friend bought Downtown Owl and apparently it's really bad; it's about a girl that lives in a town with ultimately no culture at all. Chuck Klosterman writing about something other than culture???...sounds sketchy to me.

Yeah killing Yourself to Live was awesome, I never read a writing style like his before that. It was very refreshing. I liked his comment on how he had 17 smashing pumpkins discs and he only liked two of them. :haha:
