I'm a big fan of those inexpensive, short-scale Grestch Electromatic basses. Tons upon tons of fat toan. I like my tone trebly and attack-y, but if I needed a lot of low, that's where I'd go.

Those electromatics look awesome, unfortunately they seem out of production... I guess there are plenty on the second hand market though^^

Buy my Rickenbacker, I hate it. :omg:

Them Fender Classic Shit P-basses From China (official name) from the other page are quite good. Damn cheap too.

My friend grabbed a preowned but never used mustang bass...

He has had zero regrets and uses it more than anything.

Mustangs totally rule face. Thump for god damn days.

They look stupid, but that's part of the charm really.

They really are pretty nice. Never owned one but every time I see them in shops, I can't help but pick 'em up.

Yeah, I absolutely love mine  :success: , nice trebly attack on bridge pup, neck pup's got the :joy: woofy lows so excellent with synth fuzz + a bit modulation sounds...

Even though I'll have to work on it a bit, for slight improvements, the price tag is still very low! :thumb: That said, You want get to choose a quality specimen, believe me You do, so don't order these from the internetzs, peeps - You might get lucky that way, too, but the quality control isn't too good in these low budget import models.

I've seen some for around the $450-$550 area :idk: Great basses though, really cool sound and they play great as long as you don't mind the neck being thin :thumb:

$1,650 shipped! It's the best bass ever, I'm only selling it because I love it too much!

Seriously though, it's for sale over on TalkBass.
