ILF DIY MEGA PEDAL!
Who wants to do a joint project? I do, that's who.
The idea is, everyone interested contribute a circuit fragment, and we'll discuss ordering, switching, controls, etc. Whatever controls are possible in your circuit, list 'em. Then you'll build the board of your circuit, or maybe someone else will build it for you. There's really no rules here.
I don't have time to give anything complex. I'm assuming this project, should it happen, would take some time. I'm down for:
MOSFET or BJT boosters, simple fuzz (I'll breadboard a new circuit, not clone), and I don't mind doing final assembly on it, and maybe an octave-up circuit.
Once the pedal is built, we'll tourbox it, then I don't know what. I just think a massive DIY collaboration would be neat.
Discuss? Anyone else think this could be fun?

I have a bazillion Logan 5 boards left. I'll put one together for this... with some extras.

I love the smell of solder in the morning.

Awesome! This thing needs more than fuzz. : D
And anyone can contribute anything they want. If you do graphics, I'll get 'em on the pedal.

I don't know shit about building pedals, but I have some Sovtek 12AX7s I could contribute. Anyone know how to put those in?

12AX7s would require quite a large power supply... you could run them on 9V, but I believe the 12AU7 is the one that works well for tube pedals.

Re: ILF DIY MEGA PEDAL!
I always wanted to do an official ILF DIY pedal, where maybe 3 guys here colab...then sell it at FuzzHugger.com (limited run?). Each designer gets a $10-15 cut per sale, with the rest going to cover ILF hosting costs.
But I'm not gonna hijack this project.
But someday...I think that could be fun!

HIJACK THIS PROJECT PLEASE!
Seriously though a DIY collab is fun. But a McSpunkle/Noisemaker/Nbabmf (or whatever) FX pedal which actually is a run of sorts and is therefore obtainable for us international people (
) and other interested is EVEN COOLER.Marketing wise it would be brilliant too since it's good advertising for all builders involved. Small builders get on big site (Fuzzhugger.com) etc. etc.
Seriously if that is what happens I'm going to put money aside now.
