Fake Chinese Gibson and Fenders

Post by peps1 »

Keep coming across the Fake Chinese Gibson and Fenders.....3 questions.

Has anyone had any experience with them?

How do they stack up Vs Epiphones?

Recommendations of trusted place to buy?
:idk:

I've had very limited experience with them. I'd say it just depends, ones of those "play before you buy cause they will all be different" situations.

Why not just buy an Epi or Squier if you're on a budget? For the price that you'd spend on a counterfeit, you can get a guitar that isn't made of wood shavings and toe nail clippings.

i have several chinese gibson les pauls. they are of good wood. i love mine but they have all needed some work rather it be the nut or dress the frets. i also change the hardware and pick ups which i would do on a epiphone as well. so to me, they seem about the same as a epi.
however if it is shite...you're stuck with it.
i wouldn't buy one unless you're comfortable doing enuff work to make it the way you want it because it mos def will need some work.

I take back my last comment, then. I never would have guessed they were made of real wood. :idk:

Not sure on their fendery options, but I'd stack my Agile against any Epi (and most recent Gibsons )

*edit* they are MIK (like Epiphone), not China...just thought that was confusing given the thread title

Been looking at the Agile guitars, but the cost of shipping them over here (UK) is ridicules!

Are there any UK outlets for the Agile?
