When vintage sunn heads are so cheap, I find it hard to shell out that much.

Show me one and I'll buy it :idk:
let me re-phrase that...show me one that isn't a concert bass/lead/ whatever
actually let's change it one more time...if it isn't a 2000s, I'm not interested :thumb:

CL or eBay, yo. Saw a 2000s for $500 four months ago. Had $0. All it requires is patience. Also, the ss stuff doesn't suck...

As far as small amps go, these prices are way off the charts. I just bought a circa 10-watt 1960s hand-made American amp, an Alamo Ryder, that sounds :omg: :omg: :drool: and it was $150 :yay:

Go vintage (while it's still worth it)! :thumb:

You aren't going to find a small vintage amp that sounds like a Diabolical and I've had an Alamo Ryder and is was cool but didn't keep up with my Princeton. It was worth about $150.

I saw this picture of Hendrix, all he used was a wah.... And not even the Jim Dunlop Jimi Hedrix wah, just some old thing.....
Jimi didn't realise the horrible tone suck we had to listen to every time he used that wah.

Not really, at least in terms of not-mass-market-sold-at-Guitar-Center amps. The Diabolical is right in line with the Verellen Spaldo, Dr Z Maz 18, Reeves Custom 18, etc. and cheaper than a lot of the stuff out there (Matchless, Bad Cat, I am looking at you!). Sure, it is more expensive than a Tiny Terror or an AC15, but it is also made by hand, by a guy in a shop that you can call if you have any questions or problems.

Yea I know, great solid amps. Used to have some of the aforementioned ss sunns. Been there, don't care, I guess. If I saw one for CHEAP I'd get it another but I'm not gonna quest for one, ya know?

Haha, I don't have the money (yet) & that's the problem. I will some day though...& when that day comes I'll get 2 :thumb:
