I prefer the lengthwise orientation, but a lot of people are concerned about losing even an inch of real estate. That's what it is with a 1590BB, too. One inch.

I prefer the opposite of that. I'm really down with the pedal layouts as they are now.

I like it sideways. As long as the jacks are on top.

honestly, as a pedal junkie, it really doesn't matter to me. :idk: naturally, i want it to be user friendly as far as performance is concerned.
however, if a pedal has the features i would desire, then it doesn't matter what the size is or what the graffix are...give me a happening box without a fancy paint job that performs well. that's really all that is important "to me".
i have never "ever" had the graffix or size mean anything pertaining to the purchase of a pedal.
i want to step on it, have it explode and take me somewhere else is the sonic realm.
although i really appreciate nice art and all that shite, i feel i can do my own.
but....that's just me and i walk with a limp on pink crutches: :hello:

I personally would prefer short ways wide, but its not a huge deal. With the jacks on top it takes up as much room as a short-wide with the jacks on the side, so its cool.

Here here!
Although it's nice, sometimes but yeah in the end I'd take a oversized raw metal box to does what I need. Actually I don't even care about power or bypass either.

Top mounted jacks make everything better.
This is fact.
You actually save so much space by using them.
I dig.

If all the pedal's jacks are top mounted then it's cool but when some are on top and others are on the side on a pedalboard, I think it's uncool for the cables. :idk:
