Honesty for $50 I bought the Fender starcaster chorus and it sounds good, just sold it though, i thought i was a chorus guy but I'm not, I also like teh Electro harmonix Stereo CLone Theory wchich also has vibrato, the Electro Harmonix Electric Mistress is awesome and even though it is a chorus and a flanger in one both are great and even better when used in conjuction with eachother, even though you might already have a flanger it's no the same

When ever I am about to buy a new peice of gear i usually watch one too many demos and hassle my band mates way too much to borrow their stuff, but that's just me.

I'm loving my Stereo Electric Mistress, great little box, that's if you are willing to touch EHX gear...

Yep.

And I know you said "no Boss", but my go-to pedal for chorus lately has been the Boss PS-3. The detune mode has the best 80s, 'Pornography'-era-Cure chorus, and you can tweak if from that to complete motion sickness twisty mayhem or back it off for a really nice, Robin Guthrie-type washy sound.

I thought the Lush was really good at copping those 80s tones, but not a whole lot else. :idk:

My favorite chorus by a long shot has proved to be the EHX Polychorus, though its subtle sounds occur in a fairly limited control range.

I really dig the CE-2. I built myself a clone (BYOC) and it sounds so nice. Very smooth and shimmery with no metallic sounds at all. It does crazy shit with the speed high, but I never use it that way. I usually have very low speed and very high depth.
