I believe Phil Elvrum of the Microphones/Mount Eerie uses a Metal Zone.

A friend just gave me a metal zone cause it was broken. I think it just needs a wire to be resoldered. :snax:

I had a Landmine LD-1 on my board for a while, and that is definitely a "metal" pedal. The thing is, as long as you don't use it to play metal, it sounds fuckin beastly

I also have a Boss MZ-2 Metallizer, which is basically an HM-2 plus a chorus mode and a delay mode all built into one pedal. It sounds pretty damn cool, although I don't use it like it was probably meant for (that lame dual-tracked wank-off metal solo thing)

srsly though the metal zone is a good pedal...esp for noise or power electronics applications and it even has that sweet EQ that lets you dial in the bazz.

I like using some metal pedals, Okko Dominator is sick btw, but whenever I play metal most my tone comes from stragetic eqing and low gain overdrives. but it gets seriously heavy.

I have an Arion Metal Master that I wasn't using forever so I posted in it BST...then I played with it to test it and immediately removed from sale because of how awesome it can sound. Also works well for eq'ing less bassy pedals. That thing into my U1221 boosted by the lpb...pretty gnarly.
