new EHX expanded take on the Mk III Tone Bender, which is my favorite variant. surprisingly good and versatile.

I'm wondering if the manufacturing cost is the reason why the demos weren't more plentiful. --We've got this $500 reverb, can we send the usual 10 out? --No? That's too much money. What about 2-3 demos? ---Hmm, if we only work with 2-3 people, that might upset our other regular partners. Guess we'll skip it.

If the usual pedal peddlers can't have this one for free, will they even be bothered to make a demo? (even if they wanted to, is their enough free time, with all the paid offers being thrown their way?)

For the people in the Portland, OR area, they can find out what it's like to interact with an all-FC board on April 11th-12th. (Stompbox Exhibit)

I haven't been to any trade events in ages---went to VK's NAMM week open house in the summer of 2015 (had beer outside in the summer heat and was told some funny stories by pedal reps). Before that, I went to this weird hotel thing in Nashville. (no banquet/conference rooms) The vendors had rooms in this hotel and so there'd just be mattresses thrown against the wall to clear out space for exhibiting. The more-established builders had rented multiple rooms (separated for sleeping and displaying), so their access rooms were tidier. It was fun, but also kind of weird to be with 15 strange dudes in a hotel room.

AAS of Canada has unveiled Objeq 2, and it is wow. It's still inspiring and weirdly unique, but it's now even more versatile.

If you've never used Objeq. It's kind of like if you took a 60s animation of the Beatles and turned one of those psychedelic cartoons into a plugin---it's just overflowing with sci-fi and otherworldly textures----killer for drum loops, synths, drones, and anything else you want to throw at it. I just started using the V2, and every single factory preset I've tried is a doorway to a new realm---just so many magical and haunting worlds. You just have to play it.

Take a spectral pedal you've heard (Prismatic Wall or Lost & Found), and then give that pedal mushrooms, and that's what Objeq 2 sounds like.

https://www.applied-acoustics.com/objeq-delay-2/ (discounted intro offer, bonus discount for V1 owners, 15-day full trial for free)

OBNE recently discontinued the Minim, as well as the BL series. It looks like some of these sounds are back in Setback (reverse delay), with added features like presets+MIDI+stereo outputs. ($259 list)
