but the big drawback is no Bloom patches like the MV II.

Native Audio has been retooling their line, and they've just announced a stereo looper with reverse. $299 (get 15% off, if you sign up for their newsletter. code should take 5 minutes to arrive)

i didn't particularly care for the reverbs on these demos, finding them a bit artificial. the Pedal Zone demo sounds much better and makes me more interested. the lack of squarewave Vox-style tremolo is a big miss, though.

the level of control on the Pattern Keeper is really interesting. for me to use it i'd have to totally rethink how i use loopers. hopefully it'd be better than my Rickenbacker 360, a lovely instrument that needed a different style of playing to bring out its best while i wasn't willing to revamp my entire approach which worked on everything else. even though i use the reverse and half-speed options on the loopers i have, it's hard for me to think of a looper as a signal processor rather than a tiny tape recorder.

this MeganL demo of the CB Paint does a nice job of showing the more interesting settings. i still find the shorter reverb lengths dull; the larger settings are good, but the lack of Bloom is still a drawback.

Dropping at noon (EST). **I'll update this when more videos are uploaded.

With 6 pots and 5 switches, I'll be curious to hear the versatility of its overall range. :snax:

I've been playing with for a couple days at the store I teach at before it goes on sale. I would not say it's hugely versatile as a reverb unit proper, as one might expect from a BBD reverb. It kinda goes from tile bathroom to Meet Maude but blurry with some peculiar rhythmic stuff you can induce between the BBD "taps" via the ratio control. It is, however, hugely versatile as an untraditional reverb-based effects unit. It oscillates by about 1:00 or 2:00 (somewhat dependent on other settings), which is affected by the multi-mode mod, so it can be used like a warbly drone or pad (and the thankfully included separate volume and mix controls really help here), or peek in and out of its reverb cloud with curious resonances, or be a chimey doubling chorus/flange thing, or be dark and murky and howling or, or... Haven't even tried it with fuzz yet or anything in the loop or with external control. There's a lot of exploration potential, invariably way more buried in there with all the potential for tweaking and tuning.

It's expensive as FUCK, though.
