Fretting a fretless neck?

Post by IEatCats »

My strat's neck is fucked up and I'm debating picking up a warmoth baritone conversion neck and fretting it myself to 17EDO so I can turn my old baby into something interesting.

Anyone here tried doing something like that?

I never have.. but if the fret slots are precut then that is something.. I’ve built necks using preslotted fingerboards… I don’t see it as a bad project… you just need fretting tools and frets.. for that I’d get a pack of the precut pre-radiused like what fender sells..
